The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA) – UP State & ISA Kanpur City Branch conducted an impactful Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid & Hygiene Awareness Programme at St. Mary’s Orthodox School, Kanpur on 19 th August 2026
The programme focused on empowering school students with essential life-saving skills and the confidence to respond appropriately during emergencies.
👩⚕️👨⚕️ The session included demonstrations and hands-on awareness about:
🔹 Basic Life Support (BLS)
🔹 CPR and early emergency response
🔹 Early use of AED
🔹 First Aid essentials
🔹 Hygiene and prevention
🔹 Recognising and responding to emergencies
With a large and enthusiastic gathering of students, the initiative highlighted an important message:

ISA remains committed to taking life-saving knowledge beyond the hospital and into the community, because timely action by a trained bystander can make a crucial difference.
